Howard The Duck’s conversation with the Judeo-Christian image of God is as funny as it will be profane to believers without a sense of humour. Creator Steve Gerber has already said he expects to be vilified for his portrayal of God as a businessman. But when you think about it, this is the only pragmatic way for God to exist. God "is a corporate structure. Executives come and go, but the legal entity endures." God explains to Howard the history of religions, "There’s a lot more here than the Judeo-Christian heaven and hell, you know. We’ve got Valhalla, Asgard, Olympus, the Elysian Fields and the Anubis barge ride." So with "Creator’s Rights", the six-issue Howard The Duck series comes to an end. - Michael Cheah
