Arcade Fire
First Avenue
[no label 1CD]
Live at First Avenue club, Minneapolis, MN, Sept 29, 2005

The Arcade Fire made great leaps forward in 2005, finally managing to release their debut album, Funeral, worldwide. The band also remastered and re-released their self-release 2003 demo EP, Us Kids Now, in the US and UK in 2005.

The band then went on tour to promote Funeral. This show at First Avenue was broadcast on KCMP 89.3 FM - The Current - in St. Paul, MN on December 4, 2005. The show itself was recorded at First Avenue on Sept 29, 2005. At least one paper has called this show one of the best of 2005. Arcade Fire played large chunks of Us Kids Now and Funeral during this show. The DJ introducing the songs is Mary Lucia. This band has been endorsed by no less than David Bowie who also has performed live with them.
