It was everything anyone could have expected, including guest appearances from opening act Michael Stipe and both of Patti's children, plus a feedback solo by Patti herself on the encore of 'My Generation'. Sound at the Beacon Theater was as excellent as I remembered from the last time I was there, which had to be 25 years ago. This was recorded from the front of the balcony level, so very little in the way of crowd noise. Enjoy!" - Nulldogmas. Beatles - Artifacts II Revisited, The Definitive Collection of Beatles Rarities 1960-1969 2015 (Maxwell Edison Records  MER-1412 5CD Demonoid 3287574/13373760) Before there was EMI's Anthology, there was Artifacts, a five disc set from 1993 that provided an overview of material that had leaked from the Beatles' vault. Back in 2012, Maxwell Edison Records released Artifacts Revisited, an update to the original Artifacts release, fixing errors in the liner notes, straightening out the chronology, and upgrading the audio to the best-sounding sources. Presented now for the first time is Artifacts II Revisited, giving the same treatment to Artifacts II as had been given to its predecessor. Now you can hear Artifacts II in the proper running order, with corrected liner notes, and in the highest quality available twenty years after its original release. Ex SBD stereo. DATA FILE ONLY

Beatles - Magical Mystery Tour Songtrack, Collected And Incomplete 2015 (Maxwell Edison Records MER-1503 1CD Demonoid 3287574/13373760) This is the first of a series of "Collected and Incomplete" titles in the Maxwell Edison Records catalog. Though called "Magical Mystery Tour Songtrack," this single disc works more like the original "Yellow Submarine" album or the American versions of "A Hard Day's Night" and "Help!". It's the 2012 Blu-Ray remixes of the Magical Mystery Tour soundtrack, edited as needed so that they have clean beginnings and ends (no dialogue or sound effects from the film). The rest of the disc is made up of nearly all the incidental music used in the film, also sans film dialogue and sound effectsŠ "Here, for the first time, is an attempt to catalog in their proper running order all recordings heard in the 1967 Beatles film Magical Mystery Tour, whether performed by The Beatles or performed by someone else. As a bonus, songs originally left on the cutting room floor are also included in this compilation, including performances by Traffic, Ivor Cutler, and Shirley Evans. Though many Beatles fans will be familiar with this material through repeated viewings of Magical Mystery Tour, this is the first time they have ever been compiled and heard in this form before." Beatles (George Martin) - Ode To An Oboe Player - The Music Of George Martin & His Orchestra 1962-1969, Collected And Incomplete 2015 (Maxwell Edison Records MER-1505  5CD Demonoid 3287574/13373760) "George Martin served as the Beatles' producer at Parlophone Records for the majority of their recording career. For the first time anywhere is a nearly complete collection of the producer's 1960s recordings with George Martin & His Orchestra. Aimed at the easy listening and Beatles cash-in crowds, these five discs collect singles, soundtracks, LPs, and more, many making their digital debut. Now is your chance to relive the "adult" 1960s, with a martini in hand, a ribald quip on your tongue, and the Musak of George Martin blasting out your hi-fi." One other note: In case you're wondering why there's so many versions of "Love In The Open Air" included, that's because there were three different versions of it, all conducted by George Martin. Two were released simultaneously in the UK in late 1966 and one was released in the U.S in early 1967. "The Tudor Minstrels" are simply The George Martin Orchestra under a different name, since one version of the single was to be released on Decca. This article from 1966 explains why there were two different U.K. versions. Since both UK versions flopped, the song was re-recorded in an uptempo fashion and given a new B-side for the U.S. market, though that single also flopped. Ex SBD stereo. DATA FILE ONLY

Beatles - The Earth News Interviews, Collected And Incomplete 2015 (Maxwell Edison Records MER-1504 4CD Demonoid 3287574/13373760) You may be familiar with the "Earth News Radio" 20th Anniversary Special on the Beatles--it made the rounds a couple years back. Less common are the John Lennon and Paul McCartney solo appearances on the same program (which were partially re-hashed for the 20th Anniversary Special), as well as the George Martin solo appearance (also partially rehashed, and making its digital debut here, from a new vinyl rip). Still missing are Ringo's and George's appearances on the show -- they are partially recreated here from the "20th Anniversary Special".

From the liner notes: "Earth News Radio was a syndicated American radio series that ran between 1972 and 1985. The series consisted of a pair of two-minute daily spots, aired seven days a week, made up of short interviews with contemporary musicians. Most interviews were conducted by series host Lew Irwin.

"Between 1975 and 1976, each of the former Beatles were interviewed separately for the program, as was producer George Martin in 1978. All five of these interviews were rehashed later in 1978 for a four-week-long '20th Anniversary' retrospective on the band. This collection gathers together as many of these Earth News Radio interviews as could be located. The full appearances of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, and George Martin are included, as well as the entire '20th Anniversary' Beatles retrospective. In addition, some outtakes of John's interview are included, having been aired on the 1988-92 radio series The Lost Lennon Tapes.

"Alas, the original Earth News Radio broadcasts of George Harrison's interview from 1975 and Ringo Starr's interview from 1976 could not be located for this collection. They are recreated in incomplete form for this collection from the 1978 "20th Anniversary" retrospectiveŠ. "Nearly all questions relate directly to their time as Beatles, and some subjects were rarely covered elsewhere, such as Paul's introduction to LSD, and John's recording of "What's The New Mary Jane." Though made without their direct involvement, Earth News Radio's "20th Anniversary" Beatles retrospective was the last project released that featured participation from all four ex-Beatles during their lifetimes. For that alone, these interviews are historic." Ex SBD stereo. DATA FILE ONLY

Beatles - Threetlemania! 2015 (Maxwell Edison Records 4CD Demonoid 3287574/13373760) This is an upgrade of Purple Chick's Meet The Threetles. "After the Beatles broke up in 1970, the four bandmates never worked together in the same studio again. On a few rare occasions, three of the four Beatles gathered together to contribute to a recording. This set attempts to collect all such "Threetles" recordings, including all versions of all songs attempted or considered as a "Threetles" or Beatles reunion track.

"The first "Threetles" recording was the result of a happy accident. "Greenfield Morning I Pushed An Empty Baby Carriage All Over The City" appeared on the Yoko Ono/Plastic Ono Band album in 1970. As confirmed by Yoko Ono in a 2012 interview for WNYC-FM, The Plastic Ono Band of Yoko (vocals), John Lennon (guitar), Ringo Starr (drums), and Klaus Voormann (bass) recorded the song live at Abbey Road Studios, jamming over top a discarded sitar track recorded earlier by George Harrison. According to Yoko, George did not have knowledge of this beforehand, and they had to get permission from him to use his contribution after the song had already been finished.

"The John/George/Ringo Threetle trio next recorded "I'm The Greatest" for Ringo's 1973 RiNGO album, again with Klaus Voormann on bass, and with the addition of Billy Preston on keyboards. George famously encouraged the quintet to form a new band called The Ladders, but John was not interested.

"The Threetle lineup of Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr first recorded together in 1981. George invited Paul to sing backing vocals on "All Those Years Ago" in February of that year, a song begun with Ringo on drums in 1980 that was refashioned as a tribute to the recently-deceased John Lennon. The song was released both as a single and as an album track on George's Somewhere In England LP.

"The Paul/George/Ringo Threetles convened again in 1994 and 1995 to record "reunion" tracks for the Beatles Anthology project, this time using as their basis unreleased demos recorded by John Lennon in the late 1970s. Four songs were considered for the project: "Free As A Bird," "Real Love," "Grow Old With Me," and "Now And Then." Only "Free As A Bird" and "Real Love" were finished, with Jeff Lynne, of Electric Light Orchestra and Travelling Wilburys fame, serving as producer.

""Now And Then" was started but left unfinished, though Paul McCartney half-jokingly said in the 2012 BBC documentary Mr. Blue Sky: The Story of Jeff Lynne and ELO, "I'm going to nick in with Jeff and finish it one of these days." A fanmade mix, uploaded by Youtube user IAMAPhoney appeared in 2005. Though included here, it does not contain any actual involvement by any Beatle other than the original John Lennon demo, but is a reasonable facsimile of what a finished Threetles version might sound like.

""Grow Old With Me" was not attempted by the Threetles, and instead resurrected for 1998's John Lennon Anthology, for which George Martin scored and conducted a new orchestral backing.

"Of these four songs, "Real Love" had the most complex composition history. John recorded demos with several different sets of lyrics, and the song was known by the titles "That's The Way The World Is," "Baby, Make Love To You," "Girls And Boys," and "Real Life" before he settled on the "Real Love" lyrics. He then shelved the song altogether.

"Paul, George, and Ringo also jammed on a few songs in George Harrison's back garden in 1994, video of which was released on the Anthology DVDs. An entirely new composition written by Paul and George called "All For Love" was started in the studio but, like "Now And Then," was left unfinished, and has yet to see any official or unofficial release.

"In 2000, Paul released an experimental album called Liverpool Sound Collage. Two of its tracks, "Plastic Beetle" and "Free Now" made use of a 1965 Beatles session tape on which John, Paul, and George ad-libbed some nonsensical dialogue. These are the last "Threetles" recordings to date.

"All demos, takes, and mixes of the aforementioned songs are collected here, in semi-chronological order for your listening pleasure, representing the Beatles' last hurrahs as an active band." Ex SBD stereo. DATA FILE ONLY

Beatles (John Lennon + Plastic Ono Band) - Varsity Blues, Collected And Incomplete 2015 (Maxwell Edison Records  6CD Demonoid 3287574/13373760) live At The Toronto Rock & Roll Revival Festival, Varsity Stadium, Toronto,13 September 1969. "The first live performance of The Plastic Ono Band was the result of a spur of the moment decision that saw the makeshift group fly across the Atlantic a day after agreeing to a last-minute invitation. The festival was headlined by The Doors, while most of the other major acts on the bill were artists associated with rock and roll's first wave: Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley, Little Richard, and the like. Ticket sales were lackluster, so the promoters invited John Lennon to emcee in order to boost their profits. John one-upped them by agreeing to perform. "The Plastic Ono Band's performance at the Toronto Rock & Roll Revival was released in December of that year as the album Live Peace In Toronto 1969. Since then, some other performers' sets from that same festival have been released in various forms, while others have remained in the vault. This compilation attempts to collect all recordings that have been released from that day's festival, officially or otherwise, to put The Plastic Ono Band's famous gig back into the context of that day's concert proceedingsŠ This "Collected and Incomplete" title includes everything from that day that is known to circulate among collectors. Beatles - Yesterday And Two-Day 2015 (Maxwell Edison Records MER-1502 4CD Demonoid 3287574/13373760) "Upon the conclusion of the sessions for the Abbey Road album in August 1969, all four Beatles were never in the same room together again. Since then, two Beatles have, at various times, performed together live in concert before the general public-but never more than two. This compilation attempts to collect all post-Beatles "Two-tle" concert performances in one place for the very first time. To date, there have been thirteen such performances caught on tape. The first occurred on 15 December 1969 at the Lyceum Ballroom in London when George Harrison sat in with John Lennon and The Plastic Ono Band. The most recent occurred on 18 April 2015 at the Public Hall in Cleveland when Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr performed together for Starr's solo induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

"Two private "live" performances of three Beatles occurred, though evidently neither were recorded for posterity. In 1979, Eric Clapton married George's ex-wife Pattie Boyd. Paul, George, Ringo, and their wives were all in attendance, and the "Threetle" trio drunkenly jammed along with several other wedding guests. Two years later, in 1981, Ringo married Barbara Bach, and the soused trio again jammed at the wedding reception along with other invitees. If any audio or video footage of either event exists, none has yet surfaced." Ex SBD stereo. DATA FILE ONLY
