Nico, John Cale & Brian Eno - Berlin 1974: FIXED [no label 1CD dime 446327] live at National galerie, Berlin, Germany, Oct 05, 1974. Source audience tape 1st gen. "The quality of the music is good to very good, in the beginning there are a lot of mics tuning noise. The show was in a very small venue in front of only a few people and you hear mostly between the songs some noise from the audience, some political statements a lot of "BUH" & SCHEISSE(SHIT) shouters. Absolutely rare performance by these three artists. Brian Eno plays fantastic electronics and synthesizer during " Das Lied Der Deutschen", John Cale has his hottest moments when he plays viola to Nico's voice and pump organ. Very rare tracks and versions of great music. I had a lot of work with that tape, I removed some clicks and noise, fade in and fade out some tracks, a little bit equalizing and work with the channel, I hope you like it, it's another rare document of music history and the Brian Eno work during some songs is worth the download. "The End" is hypnotic with Brian Eno's electronics, John Cale played a great piano and superb violin to Nico's excellent voice and the sound of her pump organ. And for all Dolby surround fans a WARNING, this is audience and not perfect, a lot of crowd noise and riot in the audience, a controversial show, most of the people in the audience hate the show and you have some loud shouters. Bob Marley & The Wailers - A Smokeyroom Dub Collection 1974 - 1984 (no label 2 CD piratebay 8345019) "This collection is mix up of 7" & 12" record's & Dub's And Dub Plate's...Hence Title ! I have re-titled this and added year's 74-80 for that is time that these mixes were done ...also on each track you will notice each track's origin from 7" or dub plate etc. You will see from set list below. Also in lookin' more into this mix up I found some nice info about these "pecker mix's". An amazing but true story about an experimental dub session organized by BOB MARLEY in Jamaica in 1979!!! In 1979 during a visit to Japan, Bob Marley met the acclaimed Japanese percussionist Pecker. Pecker, a big fan of reggae, convinced Marley to bring top Japanese musicians (mostly members of The Yellow Magic Orchestra) to Jamaica to mix it up with the cream of Jamaican reggae artists, to jam and play out in informal dub sessions at both Channel One and Tuff Gong Studios. The astounding results were released only in Japan on two separate LP's in 1980." Hard to say whether all of this is true. "Two tracks cut out due too their official status on many official albums." Fratelli Mancuso, Memento Domini di Mussomeli, Lamentatori di Marianopoli - Canti Della Passione, Ravenna Festival 2011 [no label 1CD dime 427583] live at Basilica di San Francesco, Ravenna, Italy, June 9, 2011. "Here is a project run by Fratelli Mancuso specifically for Ravenna Festival: the music featured is 'canto devozionale derivato dal lamento di Cristo sulla croce', roughly explained as 'arcaic Easter religious chants from the suffering of crucified Christ'. Isn't that impressive? ... this music/singing called 'Lamentazione' is typical from the provinces of Caltanissetta and Enna in Sicily, but is similar to Tenores di Bitti (sardinia), their polyphonic vocal style, often described as a type of overtone singing (see for explanations http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tenores_di_Bitti), and quirky gregorian chants, sung or in arcaic sicilian language or in vulgar Latin, sung not in churches but during 'le processioni della settimana santa', processions for Easter Holy Week. This show sees alternating on stage with Fratelli Mancuso the collectives called 'Memento Domini' di Mussomeli (a town near Caltanissetta, central Sicily) and Lamentatori di Marianopoli (again a town near Caltanissetta, and 'Lamentatori' means 'people who complain'). Tunes are mostly vocals-only, but the proper tracks from Mancusos feature instruments like harmonium, guitar and hurdygurdy." CD1 is an audience recording. CD2 + 3 are from soundboard. "Welcome back to the sixth in a series of releases from the ER Archives, the collection of an active '70s taper and trader who stepped away from collecting, leaving his tapes pretty much dormant until now... Installment No. 6 is an upgrade to a soundboard classic: The Bomb Scare Show, Uptown Theater, Milwaukee, WI, October 2, 1975." This comes from WMMR DJ Ed Sciaky's tapes. "Milwaukee has always been one of the better boards, but the clarity here, both in the high and low end, is striking. Compared to the previous best circulating copy, the new Milwaukee board transfer is lush and full, brighter and deeper in a way the old one never was. It has a true 'you are there' quality." The audience tape: "Unfortunately the audience portion of the show is still crappy, but this copy should be better than you've heard it before. "By an unfortunate error I included the wrong 'Meet Me in the Morning' on my previous torrent. I actually included the one off the acetate, as I was listening for mix / overdub changes and finished up mislabeling it. "This previously unknown recording turned up March 2, 2013. It's great but there were a few things I thought could be improved, so this is my remaster." - watchit. "This recording had a few places which were much louder than the rest, especially at the end of Moby Dick and the start of How Many More Times. I have boosted the volume in other areas while leaving those areas at the original volume level, so that the sound level is now more consistent. I also copied the left channel to the right, since the right channel was defective at the start. I also filtered out the upper treble, where there was no music, only hiss. Lastly, I reindexed and renamed the tracks. Artwork by others is now included." The result of using only the left channel rendering this to mono, has meant that the size of the data file is now reduced to 289mb. Line-up: Robert Plant: vocals; Jimmy Page: guitar; John Paul Jones: bass, organ; John Bonham: drums. VG+ AUD mono. From the master tape. DATA FILE ONLY.

Prefab Sprout - Cardiff University 1985 [no label 1CD dime 441567] live at Cardiff University, Nov 7, 1985. A soundboard straight out of the desk - lossless version of Live80 upload. "Horsechimes is a bit chopped at the beginning, the sound is mixed for live performance rather than home listening, but otherwise a great record of the UK leg of the tour. Possibly missing Appetite, which was usually played, but that's all." Lineup: Paddy McAloon - vocals, guitar; Martin McAloon - bass; Neil Conti - drums; Wendy Smith - backing vocals; Mike Shipley - Keyboards. Ex SBD stereo. "This recording has been available for a few years via the live80 website in the form of a 320kbps mp3. However this is the fully lossless version, for which big thanks to Bob." DATA FILE ONLY.
