This has music, talking by all four Fabs and more. One of two Acetates of this album are known to exist. Awesome! Derek Taylor's name is mentioned during the sessions, and he may have been running George's four-track Ampex reel-to-reel, on which these historic performances were preserved. The Beatles - Hot As Sun [SPCD 1CD] Hot As Sun was the title of a Beatles album that Rolling Stone and a few music magazines announced in 1969. The claim was that the Beatles recorded some songs from Feb to May for this album. This CD gathers songs recorded during that period to attempt a proposed setlist for Hot As Sun. THE GET BACK SESSIONS

Beatles - Stereo Get Back Sessions [Big L Productions 7CD] Recorded at Apple Studios, London, Jan 27 1969. The sessions ended Jan 31. Songs covered on Jan 27 include Old Brown Shoe, Let It Be, Long And Winding Road, Get Back. As every Beatlefan knows the Get Back sessions were filmed and the entire month's recording was simultaneously recorded on two Nagra mono reel-to-reel recorders with overlap to ensure that every second was recorded. The Stereo Get Back Sessions "uses the two mono Nagra recordings from cameras A & B, [for] these 'stereo' recordings. The stereo space produced by these two mono recordings often is stationary, but at times moves as the camera/ microphone crew moved and shifted their locations during the sessions." Ex SBD stereo. The boxset producers extend their thanks to Doug Sulpy for supplying the tapes. Is this a joke?

The Beatles - The Complete John Barrett's Master Cassette Tapes [no label 6CDs] "In the past every Barrett tapes set were imperfect… because the person with the original tapes decided to manipulate, edit and fade them, and piece-meal slightly different versions out to many bootleggers… pissing off collectors… This boxset is including all the songs of the Barrett tapes. The master is made and for sale by the collectors at the Beatlefest." This new 2005 set described on the cover as "made in Brasileira" is supposedly limited to 500 copies and that it is taken from Barrett's own 15 cassettes. But there is a caveat on the cover art as well: "A correspondent reports that blank Abbey Road Studios cassette cards were being offered for sale at the Chicago Beatlesfest by a European dealer. This raises the possibility that we're dealing with games within games here, and that the Barrett cassette box, themselves have been forged." Ex SBD stereo. I've no idea what to believe but definitely not worth throwing money here, just trade for this.

The Beatles - The Red Light's On [Jfc Records & Tapes 7CDs demonoid 1871269; 1872925; 1874470; 1876100; 1877391; 1878890; 1880239] "In the spring of 1983, engineer John Barrett and disc jockey Roger Scott landed what many would consider a dream job: listening to Beatles studio session tapes in a mixing suite at Abbey Road. Barrett had been in charge of cataloging EMI's Beatles tape library for over a year, and Scott was brought in to assist him in shaping an audiovisual presentation for the public, The Beatles At Abbey Road.

"As they auditioned various recordings, Barrett made cassette compilations of various outtakes, creating fresh stereo mixes from the multitracks. Scott also took the liberty of dubbing some session reels from start to finish, along with a few vintage mixes. The result was nearly eight hours of pristine-quality unreleased Beatle material which ended up on various bootlegs over the last 25 years: Ultra Rare Trax, Unsurpassed Masters, et al.

"We have compiled ALL of the Barrett/Scott tapes here, straight from the vaults to your ears. All that's missing are the low-fi offline 'bag tapes' recorded stealthily by Scott. Not only do those repeat much of this material, they would interrupt what is a pleasant listening experience. The tapes have been sorted in chronological order, speed-corrected, and edited for completeness from various best sources. No noise reduction or equalization has been employed. Sit back, relax, and for God's sake be quiet! The Red Light's On!"

This is a great fan compilation with just the odd slightly-lower quality track here and there. Ex SBD stereo/ mono. Worthy of repeated listening.

The Beatles U.S. Collection of mono and stereo albums are taken from Capitol releases. There are only twelve titles. There are no major differences between the U.S. and U.K. albums beyond Magical Mystery Tour - Thus this set ends with that title.

Source material was SEALED and UNPLAYED Capitol vinyl releases resulting in masters with clarity equal to tape. The best professional equipment was used for the transfers: a LINN SONDEK LP 12 turntable with a MICRO BENZ cartidge and a LINN LK 1 phono preamp.

The first set of tracks are in mono followed by the same set of tracks in stereo.

The Beatles - Please Please Me [Dr Ebbetts 1CD Demonoid 1511529] Special Dr. Ebbetts "outfake" stereo remix featuring centered vocals and bass, except for "Love Me Do" and "P.S. I Love You" and released 2003. "The stereo mix of this album was simply the twin-track as recorded on the sessions. The backing track on track left, the vocals (and background noise) on the right. What has been done here must have been quite a job. The right channel was panned to the middle of the stereo image every time the singing started and panned back to the right whenever it stopped. The Beatles - The Black Album: Remastered [no label 2CD HungerCity 3927] 2007 remaster of this classic bootleg of the 1969 Twickenham sessions using Purple Chick's A-B Road sources. "The Black Album was the first bootleg I ever heard. A rough transfer at a low bitrate; the worst of both worlds as far as audio is concerned. Better existed at the time, but this new collector didn't know that. Of course, this was the Beatles; this wasn't going to stop me. The sound of John Lennon incoherently screaming the tune of "House Of The Rising Sun" over a sea of crackling an hiss, Paul McCartney roaring something about Pakistanis in a manner distantly resembling "Get Back"; these were new, foreign, and somewhat scary noises to me.

"Now, in 2007, I've decided to revisit this old gem using Purple Chick's wonderful A/B Road collection, reconstructing this thing track by track, edit by edit; every track ends where it should, and the more memorable tape oddities are preserved (fun fact: the Black Album Hi-Heeled Sneakers wasn't just filled with dropouts, but actually was edited together from two takes! This took me about two hours to notice.) It does run at the right speed, though.}" - COMPILED BY TENNIRU 2007. Ex SBD mono. According to collectors, The Black Album 2LP boot n Eva Records arrived sometime in 1982 and supposedly ripped its contents from two other bootlegs - Sweet Apple Trax and Watching Rainbows.

The Beatles - Cherry Bomb Concert! 1966 [Lazy Tortoise 1CD Dime 204354] live at Mid South Coliseum, Memphis, Tn. August 19, 1966, afternoon and evening show. This is Disc 4 of Lazy Tortoise's North American Tour Diary. "The evening Memphis show has gone down in history as the infamous "firecracker incident" as during "If I Needed Someone" some kids in the audience threw a lit cherry bomb near the stage which exploded. Legend has it that The Beatles all thought one of them had been shot and stopped playing, but total pro's that they were (and no doubt this was partially learned by their time in Hamburg enduring audience fights), The Beatles carried on as if nothing had happened (the audience certainly reacts, however).

The Beatles - Complete Beatles: Digital Vinyl Audiophile Collection? [Mobile Fidelity 14CD]

Copied from original MFSL vinyl copies, most of them sealed and played for the first time. This is likely to be the B Series which means it was copied from the A Series CDRs. Here is some info:

The Digital Vinyl Audiophile Collection (DVAC) began as a closed audiophile project in 2001. It is not a duplication or derivation of the fake MFSL collection printed in Italy and Japan. The DVAC discs are true direct-LP recordings and capture about 90% of the fidelity and 'feel' of pristine MFSL vinyl pressings (the other 10% being lost--or altered--in the digital domain). Moreover, this collection addresses some of the sound-level and artifact problems that persist on virtually all the official CDs, tapes and records. For instance, the new DVAC-4B disc is the first to present the original master recording of Run For Your Life without the "thump" noise.

First, the original DVAC project (A-Series) relied on high-quality pressings (some of which were sealed prior to recording) that could be captured directly with little or no noise. Second, all aspects of the recording and copying involved quality audio components; the original analogue material was never compromised by software filters or home computer equipment. With the exception of Please Please Me, all titles were recorded using the shortest and cleanest signal path possible: phono stage to CD recorder. The result is a "permanent" near-mint collection of rare audiophile recordings.

The Mobile Fidelity LPs used to produce the A-series master discs were solid examples of mint and mint-minus JVC-Japan pressings. In fact, the DVAC discs boast reference quality sound for the three most admired Beatles albums: The sources for Abbey Road and Revolver were virgin (prior sealed) pressings, while the source for Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band was an equally pristine UHQR pressing! Only rarely throughout this collection can you hear a soft click through loudspeakers. With headphones, inherent vinyl noise and hiss from the original master tapes are more prominent, but seldom offensive.

The new B-Series project exploits the digital format and success of the first collection. The digital master tracks were extracted to computer, de-clicked and/or edited *only* if necessary, and then burned onto new master discs. This supplemental stage improved the intertrack quality of the play discs, and it eliminated the few audible clicks that were captured in the original project. It does not appear that any bit errors were introduced by the two additional copy stages (one read, one write).

The Digital Vinyl Audiophile Collection omits The Beatles (White Album) because the quality and fidelity of the 1998 CD re-issue is already excellent. The digital re-issue of Yellow Submarine sounds even better, but was partially used here to produce a superior 'original' album. For the other 10 titles, the best high-fidelity stereo sound is still limited to select vinyl pressings; hence this collection.

BEATLES VINYL RIPS

The Beatles - Help [EMI 1st pressing/ tube cut] Original UK 1st pressing. Tube cut refers to the actual mastering/cutting of the record itself. EMI's mastering guru, H. T. Moss used cutting equipment up until the end of 1968 or so which was powered by vacuum tubes (or valves as they call them in the UK). Afterwards they went to solid state equipment. The -1 refers to final number in the matrix dead wax info. A -1 would indicate the first press. stamper was used to make the record. Since Help was cut in 1965 it would have to be a tube cut version and not a later solid state cut. VARIOUS - The Apple Singles Collection: The Complete 7" Discography on CD VERSION 3.5 [Beatleg 16CD] This is the new 2006 15 Volume set with Vol 15 as a double CD. "The new set you have (version 3.5) is totally upgraded - except vols 15/1 and 15/2. I re-digitized every track! I bought Adobe Audition and a brand new Technics deck a while back and started the long process... so this is about as good as I can get - I have re-recorded at the right speed (my old deck didn't have adjustable speeds and kinda went faster when it warmed up...) Also I have newer/better copies of many of the discs now and I honestly can't remember which tracks are from the newer copies." If it was excellent before now it’s Ex+ SBD stereo/mono. The Beatles - Abbey Road [Toshiba 'Black Triangle' PLUS demonoid 1185814] "The unrivalled Toshiba Abbey Road 'first generation CD' version issued in 1983. Soon after it got released it was withdrawn because of legal problems. There is no pré-emphasis added, no CD-mastering compression and/or filtering. What you hear is the LP-record master, you experience the full-dynamic range of the music and the hiss ;-) . But héé, who cares, it's The Beatles! It's the most open and natural-sounding 'Abbey Road', in my opinion, and I heard a few. The EMI-version or the 'Japanese Red'-version do not come even close to this one. OUT-OF-PRINT.

"What makes this the 'Black Triangle' PLUS, is the 6db volume boost and the slight bass boost: 60Hz +2.9db, 170Hz +2.2db, 310Hz +1.6db." Ex SBD stereo.

"This 21 volume set contains the entire Days In Their Life program as it was originally broadcast in the early '80s. The Days In Their Life was originally pressed onto 30 vinyl LP records. It was these vinyl LPs that radio stations used as a source for their broadcasts. The collection presented here is sourced from one of these original broadcast vinyl LP sets.
