Elf [featuring Ronnie James Dio] - Live in Cortland 1972 & Studio Demos [no label 2CD Torrent: 122641] Late January or early February 1972 for the live tracks, unknown for the demos (most likely 1972). The venue was The Bank, Cortland, USA for the live tracks, unknown for the demos. Taken from master tapes. Lineup: Ronnie James Dio - vocals / bass; Gary Driscoll - Drums / Percussion; Dave "Rock" Feinstein - Guitar; Mickey Lee Soule - Keyboards. This was recorded in early 1972, shortly after the band dropped the name "The Elves" and became "Elf", and not long before recording the first album. The sound quality is amazing, a lot of covers as well as unreleased material, and what's more : Ronnie James Dio covering "War Pigs" more than 7 years before joining Back Sabbath! Ex SBD stereo.

Joe Ely - Unreleased 1987 Album [no label 1CD Torrent: 117838] This contains no released music - the two tunes he salvaged for the '88 Hightone CD were totally re-cut later. Linda Ronstadt sings on one track. Ex- SBD stereo.

Joe Ely - Love And Danger Sessions Outtakes 1991-1992 [no label 2CD Torrent #116267] in the studio, Nashville, Tennessee 1991-1992. Sourced from Master Reels. Session musicians: Drums-David McLarty; Bass-Jimmy Pettit; Electric Guitar-David Grissom; B3 Organ-Reese Wynan; Percussion-Tom Roady; Acoustic Guitar-Lloyd Maines; "These are different takes and versions along with many unreleased songs, I've made notes on each individual track for referance and had to omit 3 songs as the vocal tracks on each sound the same as the released versions or close enough I wasn't commortable including them. Many of these songs in my opinion are superior to the songs that showed up on the very commercial MCA release." The album was Love And Danger. Ex SBD stereo.

"Finally here´s the complete performance of this fabulous performance, carefully compiled from excellent to superp sounding original vinyl Boots! I was able to borrow near mint copies of the ultra rare original vinyl 2 LP Stereo Boots "Sukrat" & "ELP Live Vol.3", and so I was finally able to reconstruct the complete show from best sounding & most complete vinyl sources!" Brian Eno & Robert Fripp - BBC 1973 [no label 1CD Torrent: 62150] live on John Peel's Top Gear Show from London UK. "This recording has been on boots for many years. I've never found anything official or reliable stating that they played for John Peel. There is no reference to it in the book "In Session Tonight - The Complete BBC Radio 1 Recordings". Of course that book only covers performances SPECIFICALLY recorded for Radio 1 broadcast. They played many live things taped for other purposes."

Eno - Lightness: Music For The Marble Palace [Opal 1CD] The music on this CD is a one hour section of a hypothetically endless piece. Composed and recorded by Brian Eno for his installation at the Marble Palace, The State Russian Museum, St Petersburg, November 1997. It was released in very limited quantities on Eno's Opal label. Currently out-of-print. Ex SBD stereo.

Brian Eno - Music For Prague [no label 2CD] CD1 recorded Apr 12 1998. CD2 recorded Apr 14 1998. Music for an installation by Eno and Jiri Prihoda held at the Nova Sin Gallery. Eno explained this music: "The way that this piece of music works is that there are 12CDs and each CD is on random shuffle, and the piece just keeps on shuffling itself." Eno conceived of the idea of self-generating music. Eno conceived of the idea via genetic science where two mammals come together to conceive of a child whose characteristics are unknown. Brian Eno - Long Now Wine Promo [Pelissero 1CD] Eno's music used to shill for an Italian premium wine. This is nonetheless exciting unreleased music from 2002 and contains 5 tracks about 21 minutes long studying the sound of bells. We can safely say, it works wonders after two bottles of red. This was reported to come directly from ex-Orb member Thrash's harddrive as an uncompressed AIFF file. FFWD stands for Thomas Fehlmann (Sun Electric), Robert Fripp, Kris Weston, and Dr. Alex Paterson (the latter two of the Orb), and as that lineup suggests, was probably ambient's first supergroup. Although a one-off project with no certain plans of reconvening, the album resulting from the few days in the studio spent recording it is a landmark of experimental ambient and surprisingly unlike the various projects its contributors are known for. Closest in feel perhaps to some of the Orb's more recent releases (Pomme Fritz and Orbus Terrarum), FFWD deviates strongly in its sparseness and subtlety. There is also a slight cut in at the beginning of disc two, but again no vocals are sliced off."

"They are called the "coffee plant demos" because Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks used to record in the basement of Lindsey's father's coffee plant before they went to LA to get a record deal. However, I feel that it is a bit of a misnomer because we know Sorcerer and Garbo were written after the couple arrived in LA. Regardless, these are wonderful quality demos. While some of these were released later by Stevie or Fleetwood Mac, the gem Without You, the aptly named Cathouse Blues, and the quaint Goldfish and the Ladybug never made it off the shelf. Authorship is not documented in those cases, but although Without You may have been co-written, it is safe to say the others were penned by Stevie Nicks."
